The cheapest repair on a long trip is the one you never have to make. This red Offroad set for the Land Cruiser 100 4.7 V8 (1998-2007) puts four plates between the trail and everything that matters underneath — the drivetrain, the radiators and the fuel tank, from the radiators, through the front axle, the engine and the steering box, all the way to the gearbox and the transfer case.

All four plates are made from 4 mm structural steel, shot-blasted and finished with a two-layer textured powder coating over a class 5 anti-corrosion primer. They bolt into the factory holes in the frame — no drilling and no welding. The many folded edges along the sides of the plates add a lot of stiffness and strength, while the extra openings let heat out of the drivetrain and make it easier to wash the mud away.
