The original crossmember under the gearbox is one of the weaker points of a Cherokee XJ — drive the car hard off-road and it simply cannot keep up. This HD crossmember for the 4.0 automatic is a direct replacement for it: fitting needs no modifications at all, and the centre lowered by 25 mm works well in vehicles with a suspension lift.

It is made from 5 mm structural steel, shot-blasted and powder coated with a textured finish. The solid construction weighs approx. 10.8 kg.
