The rack mounts to the rails or to factory roof points. When loading it, stay within the roof load given in the vehicle manual — that is the limit, not the rack itself.

Frequently asked questions

How much can I carry on it?
On the move, the dynamic roof load from the car's manual applies, usually 75–100 kg. At a standstill (a roof tent with people in it) the static load applies, which is many times higher.

Will it increase fuel consumption?
Yes, any rack adds drag. With aluminium platforms it is usually a fraction of a litre per 100 km at speeds up to 100 km/h.
